更深月色半人家，
北斗闌干南鬥斜。
今夜偏知春氣暖，
蟲聲新透綠窗紗。

Deep in the night the moonbeams fall
on half the people’s houses;
North Dipper lies athwart the sky,
South Dipper lies aslant.
Tonight I have a special sense
of the spring air being warm –
The insects have started to make a noise
through the green window gauze.
